Peep My Holiday Wish List

For the past few weeks I’ve been creating themed holiday gift guides—an annual tradition here at A Girl in LA. As I scour the web, thinking of what others will want to receive, I’ve come across tons of items I would love to unwrap on Christmas morning. Since I was a child, my mom asked my sister and I for ideas on what to get us. That turned into constructing a list of must-haves which has become a ritual I look forward to every year. Here are 15 things on my holiday wish list that I’m hoping to receive come December 25th (plus I’d love a few of these gifts early to take with me to New York City).

My Holiday Wish List: Body Glow Oil by Salt By Hendrix

I was going to ask for Soleil Blanc Shimmering Body Oil by Tom Ford, but then I came upon this mini Body Glow Oil from Salt by Hendrix. I did some research and found that Salt by Hendrix has better reviews and costs a fraction of the price (only $11 for the miniature bottle)!

My Holiday Wish List: A 12-Month Ban.do Planner

Prior to last December, I was using various apps on my phone to stay organized. I realized I would benefit from something a little more structured, so after Christmas I purchased a Ban.do planner, stickers, and erasable gel pens. Having my blogging assignments, appointments, goals, tasks, and upcoming meetings right in front of me has helped me become more productive. This year, the number one item on my holiday wish list is a planner for 2020. I choose Ban.do again because I love the colorful layout and the cute stickers that accompany it.

My Holiday Wish List: L'Academie Shimmery Trench Coat

For quite some time I’ve been searching for the perfect style staple—a classic tan trench coat. I came across this shimmery one from L’Academie and bumped it to the top of my wish list. It reminds me of something my favorite style icons, Jackie O, Carrie Bradshaw, or Blair Waldorf would wear.

My Holiday Wish List: Rainbow Star Hoodie from Bloomingdales

Last Christmas one of my favorite gifts was my Opening Ceremony hoodie. This year, I picked out a black one from Aqua. The solid color means it will go with just about everything, but that metallic rainbow stars give it a little something extra. I’m hoping to open it before I head to NYC so I can wear it with my shiny vegan leather leggings and boots.

My Holiday Wish List: Beis Limited Edition Rose Gold Cosmetic Case

This past summer I was on the hunt for travel size beauty products and that’s when I came upon Beis—a company that makes sleek luggage, tote bags, and travel accessories. I’m asking for the limited edition rose gold cosmetic bag to replace my worn out makeup case.

My Holiday Wish List: Crystal Ball Diffuser from Urban Outfitters

When I was holiday shopping on UO I came across this crystal ball diffuser with 3D effects and 14 LED colors. I’ve wanted a unique looking diffuser to replace my broken one for a while now. I’m looking forward to spending a cold night in, adding some essential oils and chilling out while watching a new TV series.

My Holiday Wish List: Faux Leather Combat Boots from Nasty Gal

This fall while looking for shoes that would be optimal during the winter months I came across these faux leather combat boots with a block heel. I couldn’t believe they only cost $28 dollars and thought what if they fall apart? Then I remembered one of my favorite pairs came from Nasty Gal, which I purchased years ago and are still in tip-top shape, so I added these combat boots to my holiday wish list. (Another gift I’d like to open before my trip.)

My Holiday Wish List: DIY S'mores Kit from Squish Marshmallows

Last year when Billy and I were in New York City we stopped at Bryant Park’s Winter Village and had hot cocoa from Squish Marshmallows. These aren’t your typical store bought marshmallows though; they come in flavors like s’mores, PBJ, rocky road, banana bread, and tons more. I was excited to discover they can be ordered online (I’m asking for a s’mores making kit, or marshmallow donuts but I would be thrilled to receive any of these mouthwatering confections)!

My Holiday Wish List: Personalized Jewelry from The Me Jewelers

For the longest time I’ve wanted a necklace with my initials (or name) on it in an Ol English font. I discovered these beautiful pieces from The M Jewelers and I actually put a variety on my holiday wish list because I couldn’t narrow down which one I wanted. (I wish I could have all of them!) The Cuban chain link bracelet (which just sold out) is another one of my must haves. PS: Everything is 40% off with the code SEMI40!

My Holiday Wish List: Sequin Dress from Nasty Gal and Jeweled Fishnets from Urban Outfitters

I spend Christmas Eve with my family in New York City and we have a tradition of going out to dinner before we head back to Massachusetts. This year we’re dining at my sisters favorite vegan restaurant, Modern Love in Brooklyn (which I’m so excited for!) I’m planning on getting dressed up, so I asked for this off-white sequin dress and a pair of jeweled fishnets

My Holiday Wish List: Black Panama Hat from Urban Outfitters

Panama hats are so versatile—I’ll wear them in the winter with cold weather accessories and a long wool coat. Then as the temperature heats up, I’ll use it to dress up a sundress or wear it with denim cut-offs and a concert tee. This one from UO jumped out at me and it only costs $39.

My Holiday Wish List: This Is My New York Travel Journal

Whenever I travel, in addition to purchasing souvenirs, I save ticket stubs, flyers, room keys, metro cards, stickers, photo booth pictures, and anything else that catches my eye. These free mementos usually end up in a box inside my closet. That’s why I asked for This Is My New York—a DIY journal so I can create my own city guide. I can’t wait to chronicle my upcoming trip and have a place to add the keepsakes I collect.

My Holiday Wish List: Snoop Dogg Oversized Tee from Urban Outfitters

When I’m feeling lazy, I’ll throw on an oversized concert tee and pair it with thigh-high boots (for a dressier look), or sneakers (for a laid back casual style). Since I grew up in the 90s and loved listening to Snoop Dogg (Doggystyle was played on repeat in my tape deck), I’m asking for this t-shirt dress.

My Holiday Wish List: Mercury Strip Track Pant from I.AM.GIA

There’s nothing I treasure more than comfy designer pants. I’ll wear them when I’m lounging in my apartment, or when I want to dress down but still look put together. I’d love to receive these track pants from I.AM.GIA which have such a 90s vibe.

My Holiday Wish List: The Departure Travel Kit from AESOP

I’m requesting the Departure Kit by AESOP because it has everything I need for when I’m traveling (rinse-free hand wash, hand balm, facial moisturizer, hydrating masque, toothpaste, and lip cream).
